Gander the Goose Celebrates Canada TP
“The book is about a young gosling goose named Gander who is demoralized by his lack of a beautiful singing voice and as a result feels like a lessor bird. Gander goes on a cross-Canada search for a provincial or territorial bird with a beautiful voice. He does not find one. En route he encounterd Canada’s Snowbirds, the Canadian Military Precision Flying Team, but they too had no voice! On Canada Day Gander and his bird friends from across the country fly over the Canada Day festivities on Parliament Hill, in Ottawa, and hear families that have come from all over the world singing O Canada. Gander then realizes that this is the most beautiful song he has ever heard. This is what he had been searching for!”–
